This Privacy Policy explains how ShieldMail (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our browser extension. The short version: ShieldMail is designed to keep your real email private. We do not sell data, profile usage, or build identity profiles.

By using ShieldMail, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the extension.

Temporary addresses and messages

ShieldMail generates temporary email addresses and delivers messages to a disposable inbox. These addresses are designed to be ephemeral: messages are auto-deleted on a configurable schedule, and you can delete an address at any time.

No identity required

Using ShieldMail does not require an account, email, or any personal information. We do not tie temporary addresses to your identity.

• We never sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties
• We do not build advertising or behavior profiles
• We do not use tracking pixels or cross-site trackers
• We do not share your messages with anyone

Temporary messages are retained only as long as needed to deliver them to your disposable inbox. Auto-deletion is on by default with a configurable schedule, and deleting an address removes its messages. You are in control of how long anything is kept.

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data we process. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we design ShieldMail to minimize the data we hold in the first place.

ShieldMail is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
