QRForge

This Privacy Policy explains how QRForge (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our browser extension. The short version: QRForge is a local-first tool. QR codes are generated on your device, and we do not collect or store the content you create.

By using QRForge, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the extension.

Every QR code you create with QRForge is generated locally in your browser using your device's own processing. Nothing is uploaded to our servers — there is no server involved at all.

• QR content (URLs, text, WiFi credentials, contacts, etc.) stays on your device
• Generated QR codes are saved only where you choose (download or copy)
• No account, sign-in, or personal profile is required
• The extension works fully offline

Because QRForge runs entirely on your device, we do not collect:

• QR code content or data you input
• Your browsing history or visited websites
• Your name, email address, or account information
• Device, browser, or operating system identifiers
• Usage statistics, analytics, or error reports

QRForge requests the minimum permissions required to function. Permissions are used only to generate and export QR codes locally. We do not read your browsing activity beyond what is needed for the features you actively use.

QRForge is open source. The extension code is publicly available for review, so you can verify that no data collection or network activity occurs.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
